Franklin Templeton announces dividend in 2 schemes

Franklin Templeton Investments (India), has announced dividends in Templeton India Growth Fund and Templeton India Pension Plan. The record date for the dividend is December 16, 2009 and any purchases on or before this date will be eligible for the dividend. (Check out - Recent MF Dividends)

A dividend of 30% (Rs 3 per unit on face value of Rs.10/-) has been declared in Templeton India Growth Fund, an open end growth scheme which seeks to provide long term capital growth.

A dividend of 12% (Rs 1.2 per unit on face value of Rs.10/-) has been declared in Templeton India Pension Plan, an open end tax-saving scheme seeking to provide investors regular income under the Dividend Plan and capital appreciation under the Growth Plan.

All investors registered under the Dividend Plans of the respective funds as on December 16, 2009 will receive the dividend.  There will be a one-day book closure for the growth and dividend plans in the respective funds on December 17, 2009 and will reopen for fresh purchases and redemptions on December 18, 2009.
